Community Guidelines

1) Scope

These guidelines apply to everything on Breathe Connective: profiles, posts, comments, messages, Circles, events, media uploads, marketplace/activity listings, and IRL gatherings coordinated through the platform. They sit alongside our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Cookies Policy. PeepSo powers community features; where its policies are stricter, those apply.

2) Our values

• Respect: people over opinions. Debate the idea, not the person.
• Consent: explicit for sensitive topics, images, recordings, and IRL interactions.
• Integrity: be truthful; label opinions; disclose conflicts and promotions.
• Care: center safety—especially for minors, vulnerable folks, and animals.
• Stewardship: credit sources; protect privacy; leave places better than you found them.

3) Golden rules

• No harassment or hate. No slurs, dehumanization, or targeted abuse.
• No sexual exploitation. Absolutely no sexual content involving minors; no grooming or fetishization of minors; no non-consensual or exploitative content.
• No glorification of violence or self-harm. Sensitive discussion allowed with care + resources; never promote harm.
• No illegal activity. Don’t solicit, plan, or facilitate crimes or regulated sales outside legal channels.
• No spam or manipulation. No bulk DMs, link farms, fake engagement, or misleading funnels.
• Respect privacy. Don’t post private info (doxxing), hidden recordings, or someone else’s content without permission.
• Use the right Circle. Off-topic posts may be moved or removed by hosts/mods.

4) Content rules

Allowed with care

• Adult themes (consensual, legal) must be labeled NSFW and kept to spaces that allow it. No explicit sexual content in general feeds.
• Substance discussions must be educational/harm-reduction oriented; no buying/selling illegal substances.
• AI-generated media is welcome—label it when it depicts people or could be mistaken for real.

Not allowed

• Child sexual content or sexualization of minors (instant ban + report).
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, revenge porn, sexual exploitation, trafficking.
• Incitement to violence or credible threats.
• Hate content targeting protected classes.
• Graphic gore in public feeds; if educational, blur + warn in permitted spaces.
• Scams, phishing, multi-level schemes, counterfeit sales.
• Infringing uploads (piracy) or impersonation of real people/organizations.

5) Intellectual property & attribution

• Share only content you own or have rights to share. Credit collaborators.
• Music uploads: confirm licenses/usage rights; respect takedowns.
• Report suspected infringement via DMCA page; we respond promptly.

6) AI content disclosure

• Mark AI-generated images/video/audio that depict real people or could mislead as “AI-generated”.
• No deepfakes that harm or mislead, especially in political, medical, or safety contexts.
• Do not generate or share sexualized AI images of real people without explicit written consent.

7) Privacy & data dignity

• No doxxing or sharing private communications without permission.
• Blur/redact sensitive info in screenshots. Ask before tagging.
• Review our Privacy Policy for how we protect and process data.

8) Direct messages & Better Messages etiquette

• No cold-pitch spam. If someone declines, stop messaging.
• Harassment in DMs is treated the same as public harassment.
• Don’t send graphic/NSFW media without consent and a warning.

9) Commerce & self-promotion

• Share offerings in designated Circles/spaces only.
• Clearly disclose paid partnerships or affiliate links (#ad, #sponsored).
• No counterfeit/illegal goods. No medical or financial claims without substantiation.

10) IRL events & safety

• Event hosts must provide clear codes of conduct, emergency info, and safeguarding protocols.
• Consent culture applies: photography/recordings require informed consent; colored wristbands or clear signage recommended.
• Report incidents to hosts and to us at safety@breatheconnective.com.

11) Circle Hosts & moderators

• Set topic scope, pin rules, and keep spaces on-track.
• De-escalate first; if harm persists, remove content or users as needed.
• Escalate severe cases to platform moderators via the Report tool or moderation@breatheconnective.com.

12) Enforcement ladder

We consider context and history. We may act without prior warning for severe violations, especially safety risks.

13) Reporting & appeals

• Use the in-app Report option (••• menu) or email moderation@breatheconnective.com with links and screenshots.
• Appeal moderation decisions within 14 days: include your username, the action taken, and why you believe it was incorrect.

14) Accounts, identity & security

• One person → one account (alts allowed for roles only if disclosed to mods).
• Impersonation is prohibited; parody must be labeled.
• Enable strong passwords; report compromised accounts immediately.

15) Points & rewards (if enabled)

• Earn points for constructive participation. Abuse (spam/brigading/farm) voids points.
• We may adjust or revoke points for policy violations.
