Evening Release for Restful Sleep

How are you arriving to this article?

As the day winds down, it’s natural to carry the weight of our thoughts and feelings into the evening. Taking a moment to intentionally release these can set the stage for a more restful sleep.

Try this simple breathing practice to help ease your mind and body:

  • Find a comfortable seated position, allowing your shoulders to relax away from your ears.
  • Breathe in gently through your nose for a count of 4.
  • Hold for just a brief moment, and then exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 6.
  • Repeat this cycle for a total of 6 rounds.

With each long exhale, let go of any tension or lingering thoughts from the day. Imagine them flowing out with your breath, creating space for calm and clarity.

As you complete this practice, consider this reflective question: What is one thing I can let go of tonight to create a sense of peace?
